Privacy Policy
Bridge.jobs (“Bridge” or “Site”) is a website hosted by Rhode Island Student Loan Authority (“RISLA”) in collaboration with state and non-profit organizations including the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Rhode Island (AICURI), the Community College of RI, RI College, the University of RI, the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce and the College Planning Center of RI.
The mission of Bridge is to encourage the development of both paid and unpaid internships for college students and recent graduates and help facilitate through the Bridge website the matching of qualified students with prospective employers looking to fill internship positions within their organizations. Students may create a profile and upload a resume to apply for internship positions. Students may also search for available internships on the Bridge website based on their particular majors or interests. Businesses and non-profit or government organizations may post open internship positions which they are looking to fill. Employers may also search for students who have “opted in” to allow employers to view their profile and other information that the student has entered. Students may select the “opt-out” feature in their profile at anytime to disable the ability for employers to view their personal information unless the student applies for a specific internship. Whenever a student applies for an internship the employer will be able to view the student’s information, including the student’s resume if they have downloaded one to the Site . Bridge (“Bridge,” “we,” or “us”) is committed to maintaining and protecting the privacy of personal information of its website users. Bridge aims to provide a safe, secure and helpful user experience for students, educational officials, and the business community. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform users (“you” or User”) of what information Bridge (“we” or “us”) collects and how we use that information.
